Miller Joins Hitmen

Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to announce rookie goaltender Anders Miller will be joining the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League. Miller who came to the Bobcats from Anchorage, AK, USA had appeared in 10 games posting 1.98 goals against and .919 save percentage.

“We are proud to partner with the WHL in developing players through our newly formed Western Canadian Development Model” stated Bobcats General Manager Nigel Dube. “Anders was able to learn a lot in a short time from our experienced starting goaltender Kaiden Kirkwood and Goalie Coach Sheldon Goertzen. We take great pride in the goaltenders we have been able to produce in the Border City!” added Dube.

The Lloydminster Bobcats are back at the Civic Centre this weekend to face the Calgary Canucks on Friday, while hosting the Drumheller Dragons on Saturday night a part of family weekend. Despite starting the season 0-6-2, the Bobcats now sit at 11-9-1-2 and are 8-1-0-1 in the last 10 games. Tickets are available in advance at Payless Carwash, Tait’s Liquor, and Carl’s Jr.
